The prophecy was given to Adam alone. Adam was to represent our unseen head Christ Eve the woman used to represent the bride of Christ ad was in the position of a priestess to preach the gospel same as the parable in exodus below.

Either the prophecy was not passed down or Eve chose to do the will of the father of lies and add to the prophecy They both were deceived She preached the false gospel adding to the prophecy with a oral tradition .Both were deceived by the same false prophecy (neither shall you touch) Eve was not more greater sinner. Same punishment for men same as women.
Adam in a greater position of responsibility he was to protect his wife from false prophecy Christ in the Son man Jesus healed that wound at Calvary
