My son just popped his top two teeth and has had his bottom teeth for a while. After the top two officially popped, he started to grind his teeth so much.

Anyone else’s baby do this?

Yes! My 9 month old has her 2 top and bottom incisors and her top lateral incisors are coming in, but I noticed her grinding her teeth recently as well! Must be their way of getting used to feeling their teeth!

my son does that too, it is like nails on a chalk board!!

I’ve read they do that when their teeth/gums are hurting. And sure enough every time I hear the grinding a tooth is about to pop through!

I was trying to search for this annoying noise that my baby’s been making the last few days. He has two bottom teeth and a top one about to come out and makes a grinding/scraping sound with his teeth that was confusing me. I think this is it!

I’ve noticed my daughter doing it as well and I just try to distract her with toysor her bottle that has water so that she doesn’t grind them away lol
